1. Acceptance of terms
By using Digitalope — whether as a visitor, business applicant, listed business, or reviewer — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users worldwide regardless of location.
2. What Digitalope is
Digitalope is a worldwide business directory and search platform. We allow businesses to create verified profiles and allow users to search those profiles and submit reviews. Digitalope is a platform operator — we do not provide the services listed by businesses and are not a party to any transaction or relationship between users and businesses found through the platform.
3. For businesses — listing terms
Eligibility
Any legitimate business or sole trader operating legally in their jurisdiction may apply to be listed. We reserve the right to refuse or remove any listing at our discretion, including listings that are misleading, fraudulent, illegal, or contrary to our standards.
Accuracy of information
By applying, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date. You are responsible for updating your information if anything changes. Digitalope is not responsible for inaccurate information submitted by businesses.
Team member consent
By listing team members by name on your business profile, you confirm that each individual has given their informed consent to have their name, role, and any other personal information displayed publicly on Digitalope. You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining that consent. If a team member withdraws consent, notify us at support@digitalope.com and we will remove that person's information promptly.
Verified badge
The Verified badge indicates Digitalope has conducted a basic check that the business exists and that the information provided appears accurate. It is not a comprehensive audit, endorsement, or guarantee of service quality.
AI-Free badge
The AI-Free badge is awarded based on information provided by the business and a reasonable verification process. It represents the business's own commitment that their core work is genuinely human-made. Digitalope does not guarantee or warrant this claim. If we have reason to believe the claim is false, the badge will be revoked. The business accepts sole responsibility for the accuracy of this claim.
Trust score
The trust score is calculated automatically based on multiple factors and is an indicator, not a guarantee of quality. Digitalope reserves the right to change the trust score methodology at any time without notice.
Removal of listings
Digitalope reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove any business listing at any time, including for violation of these terms, credible complaints from users, inaccurate information, or discontinuation of the platform. We will notify the business by email where reasonably possible.
Pricing
Basic listings are currently free. Businesses that join during the founding period will retain free basic listings permanently. If paid features are introduced in the future, existing free listings will not be affected. Any pricing changes will be communicated to listed businesses with at least 30 days notice.
4. For reviewers — review terms
Authenticity
By submitting a review, you confirm it is based on your genuine personal experience with the business. You must have actually used or directly interacted with the business you are reviewing. Fabricated, incentivised, or malicious reviews are strictly prohibited and may constitute grounds for legal action.
Content standards
Reviews must not contain defamatory statements, personal attacks on individuals, discriminatory content, private personal information, or false and misleading claims. Reviews must relate directly to the business being reviewed.
Moderation
All reviews are moderated before publication. Digitalope may reject reviews that violate these standards. Approved reviews may be removed at any time if subsequently found to violate these terms or if a credible dispute is raised. Digitalope makes final decisions on all review disputes.
Reviewer liability
Reviews represent the opinions of individual users. Reviewers are personally responsible for the content of their reviews. By submitting a review you confirm that to the best of your knowledge all facts stated are true.
5. Prohibited uses
You may not use Digitalope to:
- Submit false or misleading information about any business
- Submit reviews for businesses you have not genuinely used
- Attempt to manipulate trust scores, review counts, or rankings
- Submit competitor reviews designed to harm a business's reputation
- Scrape or automatically extract data from the platform without permission
- Attempt to access or interfere with the platform's backend systems
- Use the platform for any purpose that is illegal in your jurisdiction
- Impersonate another person or business
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate any user, business, or member of the Digitalope team
6. Platform liability
Digitalope provides the platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties about uninterrupted availability, accuracy of listings, or the quality or legitimacy of any listed business. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Digitalope is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, your interactions with listed businesses, or your reliance on information displayed on the platform.
Digitalope is not a party to any transaction between a user and a listed business. Any dispute arising from such a transaction is solely between the user and the business.
Under EU and UK law (E-Commerce Directive / Digital Services Act), Digitalope is an intermediary service provider and is not liable for user-generated content (reviews, business descriptions) where we do not have actual knowledge of illegal content. Upon obtaining such knowledge, we act promptly to remove or disable access to that content.
7. Intellectual property
The Digitalope platform, design, branding, and content created by Digitalope are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. Businesses retain ownership of content they submit but grant Digitalope a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, index, and distribute that content on the platform for the duration of their listing.
8. Governing law and disputes
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic and applicable EU regulations. For users located in the EU, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence also apply where they provide greater protection. For users outside the EU, you agree that disputes will be resolved under Czech law, except where local mandatory law requires otherwise.
We encourage you to contact us at support@digitalope.com to resolve any dispute informally before pursuing formal legal proceedings.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform grows or laws change. The updated date at the top reflects any changes. For significant changes, we will notify listed businesses by email with at least 14 days notice. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
