The short version
We use exactly one cookie. It remembers whether you clicked Accept or Decline on our cookie banner. That is all. No advertising, no tracking, no profiling.
What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. Digitalope uses cookies minimally — only what is strictly necessary to remember your preferences.
Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
dp_cookie_consent | Remembers that you have responded to our cookie banner so it does not reappear on every visit | 365 days | Functional — strictly necessary |
This is the only cookie Digitalope sets directly. If you decline via the banner, this cookie is still set to record your preference — without it, the banner would appear on every page.
Third party cookies
Cloudflare — provides our hosting, CDN, and security. Cloudflare may set cookies for security (bot detection, DDoS protection) and performance. These are governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. These cookies are infrastructure-level and cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
Google Fonts — we load fonts from Google Fonts for typography. Google Fonts does not set cookies in standard usage and requests are not used for tracking according to Google's documentation.
We use no advertising cookies, no social media tracking pixels, no analytics services that identify individual users, and no retargeting cookies of any kind.
Your choices
When you first visit Digitalope, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen giving you the choice to Accept or Decline. Either choice is stored in the dp_cookie_consent cookie. The banner will not appear again until that cookie expires.
You can also clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Clearing dp_cookie_consent will cause the banner to reappear on your next visit. Blocking all cookies will not affect Digitalope's core functionality — searching and browsing businesses does not require cookies.

Legal basis
The dp_cookie_consent cookie is classified as strictly necessary because it is required to remember your consent decision and prevent the banner from appearing repeatedly. Under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary cookies do not require prior consent. However, we ask for your preference anyway to be transparent.
Changes to this policy
If we ever introduce additional cookies, this policy will be updated and the banner will reappear to give you the choice again. We will always be explicit about what cookies we use and why.
