Digitalope is a worldwide business directory and search engine operated by Petr, based in the Czech Republic, European Union. Contact us at support@digitalope.com.
This Privacy Policy applies to everyone who uses digitalope.com regardless of where you are located in the world.
The short version
We collect only what we need to run the platform. We do not sell your data. We do not advertise to you. We do not track you across other websites. If you are just searching for businesses, we collect nothing from you at all.
What data we collect and why
Visitors and searchers
If you visit Digitalope to search for businesses, we collect nothing from you directly. No account required, no login, no tracking cookies. Cloudflare — our hosting provider — may log basic technical data such as IP addresses for security. This is governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Business applicants
When a business applies to be listed, we collect: business name, contact person's name, email address, website URL, category, and description. We use this solely to review and process the application. Retained for 2 years from submission. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR) / business purpose (CCPA).
Listed businesses
Approved businesses have a public profile containing: business name, tagline, description, category, location, tags, website, pricing description, owner name, team members, and trust score. This is voluntarily submitted by the business and displayed publicly. By applying, businesses acknowledge this information will be public. Legal basis: consent.
Team members on business profiles
When a business lists team members by name, those individuals are data subjects. The business is responsible for obtaining each team member's consent before listing them. If a team member wishes to be removed, contact us at support@digitalope.com and we will remove them promptly.
Reviewers
When you submit a review we collect your name (displayed publicly) and optionally your email (for moderation only, never displayed). Reviews are moderated before publication. Retained for as long as the business profile exists. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
Report submissions
When you report a business or review we collect the reason, details, and optionally your email. Used solely to investigate. Retained for 1 year. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
We do not sell your data
Digitalope does not sell, rent, or trade personal data to any third party for any purpose whatsoever. This applies to all users worldwide, including California residents under CCPA/CPRA.
Cookies
We use one cookie only — dp_cookie_consent — to remember your consent preference. It expires after 365 days. No advertising cookies. No tracking cookies. No analytics cookies that identify individuals. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Who we share data with
We do not share personal data with third parties for marketing. Data is processed only by:
- Cloudflare — hosting and security infrastructure. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
- Google Fonts — typography only, no cookies in standard usage. Google Privacy Policy
International data transfers
Digitalope is operated from the EU (Czech Republic). Users outside the EU should be aware that their data is processed within the EU under GDPR protections. Cloudflare's infrastructure operates within the EEA. We do not transfer personal data to countries without adequate data protection laws without appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep data
- Business applications — 2 years from submission
- Business profiles — duration of listing plus 1 year after removal
- Reviews — duration of associated business profile
- Report submissions — 1 year
- Cookie consent record — 1 year
Your rights
EU and EEA residents (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, object to processing, and request portability of your data. You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. We respond within 30 days.
California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion, and to opt out of sale (we do not sell data, so this right is automatically satisfied). We do not discriminate against users who exercise these rights. We respond within 45 days.
UK residents (UK GDPR)
You have equivalent rights to EU residents. The supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
All other users
Regardless of your location, you may contact us at any time to access, correct, or delete your personal data. We will respond within 30 days.

Children
Digitalope is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16 in the EU, under 13 in the United States (COPPA), or under the applicable minimum age in any jurisdiction. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
Security
All data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure with industry-standard security including HTTPS encryption in transit and encryption at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to what is necessary to operate the platform.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform grows or laws change. The date at the top reflects any changes. For significant changes affecting listed businesses, we will notify by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
