1. Who we are
Digitalope ("we", "us", "our") is a small web and marketing studio based in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. We build websites, run SEO & analytics work, and help manage team performance and workflows for our clients — wherever in the world they're based. This policy covers both our marketing website (digitalope.com) and the client dashboard used by our customers, and applies to visitors and clients regardless of their country of residence.
2. What we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- Account information: name, email address, and organization name, when you sign up or log in. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email with us to create your account — we don't receive your Google password.
- Service data: anything you or your team enter into your dashboard — projects, messages, calendar entries, files, website URLs, and similar content needed to deliver the service.
- Reviews: if you submit a review, your name and what you write are shown publicly on our homepage — we tell you this at the point you submit it, too.
- Payment records: what was purchased and when, and how (e.g. bank transfer). We do not store full card numbers ourselves — if we ever use an online payment processor, that processor handles the card details directly, not us.
- Your own Google Analytics data (client dashboard): if you connect your website's Google Analytics 4 property to your dashboard, we access that data on your behalf, through Google's API, to build the reports you see — this is your data, from your GA4 property, and we don't use it for anything beyond showing it back to you.
- Basic analytics (marketing site): on our public marketing pages only (not the client dashboard), we use Google Analytics to understand traffic and see which pages are useful. This sets cookies in your browser — see the Cookies section below.
3. How we use it
- To provide and improve the services you've purchased.
- To communicate with you about your account, projects, or support requests.
- To understand how our marketing site is used, so we can make it more useful.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties except the tools we rely on to run the service itself — Cloudflare (hosting, security, and file storage) and Google (sign-in, marketing-site analytics, and reading back your own connected GA4 data). Some of these providers process data outside the EU/EEA (for example, Google's infrastructure is global); where that happens, they do so under their own compliance frameworks for international transfers (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses). We don't hand your data to anyone else, and we never sell it.
4. Cookies
Our client dashboard uses a strictly necessary session cookie/token so you stay logged in — this isn't optional, since the dashboard can't function without it, and it doesn't require consent under most cookie laws because it's essential to the service you asked for.
Our public marketing pages (the homepage and service overview pages) use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure visits. We ask for your consent before this loads, via the banner shown on your first visit. You can decline, and the site will work the same either way. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's site data for digitalope.com, which will show the banner again.
5. How long we keep it
We keep account and service data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal/accounting reasons. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time — see Contact below.
6. Your rights
Wherever you're based, you can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to stop a specific use of it. If you're in the EU/EEA, the UK, or another region with its own data protection law (for example the GDPR, or state-level laws like the CCPA in the US), that law's specific rights and terms apply to you in addition to what's written here. In practice, we handle every request the same way regardless of where it comes from — just email us and we'll sort it out directly, no bureaucracy. If you're in the EU/EEA and think we haven't handled your data properly, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority — for us, that's the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů).
7. Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data (encrypted connections, access controls), but no system is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the update.
