Cookie policy
Last updated: November 2026. What we store on your device, and when.
1. Your choice
When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept or decline. Until you choose, we load no analytics and track nothing. If you decline, the site works exactly the same and we only count page views anonymously, with no ID and nothing stored on your device. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page.
2. What is stored
| Name | What it is for | When it is set | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| dg_cookie_consent | Remembers your choice (accepted or declined). | When you click the banner | Until you clear it or change it |
| dg_sid | Random visit ID so we can group page views into one visit. | Only after you accept | Until you close the tab |
| dg_vid | Random visitor ID so we can tell returning visitors apart. Not linked to your name or email. | Only after you accept | Until you clear your browser data |
| _ga, _ga_V7CHWN8KTL | Google Analytics: counts visits and shows which pages are used. | Only after you accept | Up to 2 years |
| dg_notrack | Used by our team to keep their own visits out of the statistics. | Only if a team member sets it | Until cleared |
Everything marked "only after you accept" is never created if you decline.
3. Third parties
- Google Analytics loads only after you accept. See Google's own policy for how it handles data.
- Cal.com provides the booking calendar on the "Book a call" page. Opening that page loads their embedded scheduler, which may set its own cookies. See Cal.com's policy.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and may use technical security cookies or storage to protect it from attacks.
4. What our own statistics record
After you accept: pages viewed, clicks (where on the page and the name of the button or link), scroll depth, time on a page, how fast the page loaded (in milliseconds), the website or campaign that sent you, device type, browser, system, and country. No IP address is stored in these statistics. Details and retention periods (up to 14 months) are in our privacy policy.
5. Clear everything yourself
You can delete all of this in your browser settings by clearing site data for digitalope.com. The banner will then appear again.
