When you search for a business online today, you are not finding the best one. You are finding the one that paid the most for placement, has the most reviews regardless of whether they are real, or simply has the biggest marketing budget.
We built Digitalope because we believed there had to be a better way to find businesses worth trusting. Not the most advertised. Not the most reviewed. The most trustworthy.
The problem we are solving
Google Maps shows whoever paid for ads. Trustpilot is full of fake reviews that businesses pay to generate. Yelp suppresses genuine reviews if a business does not advertise. The platforms built to help you find good businesses have been captured by the businesses they were supposed to evaluate.
The result is that finding a genuinely good woodworker, a trustworthy coach, or an honest consultant is harder than it should be. You rely on word of mouth because you cannot rely on any platform.
Digitalope exists to fix that.
How we're different
We built Digitalope around one principle: businesses earn their position by being good, not by paying for it.
Trust scores, not star ratings
Every business has a trust score built from multiple signals — verification status, real reviews, response rate, how long they have been on the platform. It is harder to game and more meaningful than stars.
Every business is verified
We check every application before it goes live. A real person confirms the business exists and the information is accurate. No automated approvals, no bulk imports.
Real reviews only
Every review is moderated before publication. Businesses cannot pay to remove reviews. Fake, incentivised, or abusive reviews are removed. What you read is what real customers experienced.
AI-Free certification
As AI floods every market, a growing number of people want to know whether the work they are hiring is genuinely human-made. The AI-Free badge certifies exactly that — verified by us, not self-declared.
No ads. Ever.
Digitalope does not show advertisements. Businesses do not pay for higher placement in search results. A small business with a perfect trust score ranks above a large business with a mediocre one.
This is a deliberate and permanent choice. The moment we accept money for placement, we become the same as every other directory that has lost the trust of its users. We will not do that.
How do we sustain this? Businesses pay a listing fee when the platform reaches sufficient scale. The basic profile, trust score, and reviews remain free. Optional premium features — featured placement, advanced analytics — may be offered later. But the ranking itself will always be based on merit.
Who built this
I built Digitalope because I was frustrated with how hard it is to find businesses you can actually trust online. I am 18, based in the Czech Republic, and I believe that a well-built platform that puts trust first can grow into something genuinely useful for people and businesses across the world. Digitalope is free for businesses right now — I want to prove the idea works before asking anyone to pay for it.
Where we are going
Digitalope launched in 2026 with a small number of founding businesses in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The plan is simple: get the first 50 businesses listed with real profiles and real reviews, prove that people use it to find businesses, then expand category by category and country by country.
We are not trying to be everywhere immediately. We are trying to be genuinely useful somewhere first.
If you run a business that does good work and wants to be found by people who care about quality — we would love to have you as one of our first members.
Find a business.
Or list yours.
Searching is always free. Listing your business is free right now for founding members.
