How long does approval take? +
We review every application within 3 business days. You receive an email either way — approved or declined with a reason. If approved, your profile goes live within 24 hours.
Can I update my profile after it goes live? +
Yes. Email us at hello@digitalope.com with the changes and we will update your profile within 48 hours. In a future update businesses will be able to manage their own profiles.
What if I receive a bad review? +
You can respond publicly to any review on your profile. If a review violates our guidelines (fake, abusive, off-topic) you can flag it and we will investigate. We do not remove genuine negative reviews — they are part of what makes the platform trustworthy.
What types of businesses can apply? +
Any legitimate service or product business. We currently focus on makers, coaches, designers, consultants, therapists, writers, educators, tech, food and drink, health and wellness, and legal and finance. If your category is not listed, apply anyway and we will consider it.
What is the AI-Free badge and how do I get it? +
The AI-Free badge certifies that your core work output is genuinely human-made — not generated by AI tools. You can apply for it as part of your listing application. We verify the claim before awarding it. The verification process involves a process video and referee confirmation.
Will my listing ever cost money? +
Listing on Digitalope is free and stays free. As the platform grows we may introduce optional paid features for things like featured placement or advanced analytics — but your basic listing, trust score, reviews, and profile page will always be free.
How does the trust score work? +
Your trust score is calculated from five factors: verification status (is your business confirmed real), reviews (how many approved reviews you have), rating (your average star rating), response rate (how quickly you respond), and longevity (how long you have been on the platform). It updates automatically.
